Solving multi-attribute vehicle routing problems and exploring the limits of exact methods.

Abstract:

CQM and EVO-it work together to help many different companies with solving their vehicle routing problems. EVO-it provides the software that the companies can use for route planning and CQM provides the technology behind the solving process.

The goal of this project is to investigate the improvement possibilities of the current method used.

I looked at the many different methods and evaluated their qualities. Furthermore I collected information from the companies that are using the software, to discover the type of problems the companies are having.

Because of the developments in the area of exact methods during the past 10 years I am now trying to investigate the possibility to solve some of the VRPs with an exact method.
