A little history

Since their inception more than 30 years ago in Vimeiro, Portugal (1983), EVA conferences regularly gather many of the world’s experts in Extreme Value Theory. The conferences traditionally feature theoretical advances as well as important applications of EVT. The event is very much open to students, junior researchers, all scientists and practitioners working in areas where statistics of extremes arise.
